David and Woo Sang aimed to reveal the limitations of human cognition, which possesses a dualistic epistemology, by distorting the tempo, pitch, and other aspects of music that originated from female composers through Female Tunes. Additionally, they shared and experienced the new vision that the music offers with the audience.
Performance Structure
The performance utilizes the two spaces of the stage and the audience to progress the work based on the energetic dialogue between the audience and the performers. The two spaces represent two ideologies inspired by Donna J. Haraway's book "A Cyborg Manifesto."
Conceptual Framework
The focus is on the two ideological perspectives of the machine and the body, expressed through music and physical expression. We visualize the naturalness of the body and create harmony by demonstrating the neutral state created by the mechanical movement of the performers and conveying it to the audience.
