A ritual of transformation, collision and convergence between bodies, sound and audience.
Scene 1: Constrained by the Exoviscus
The performance begins with a body constrained by the Exoviscus (a fictional external organ-like structure inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics), a cyberpunk-inspired apparatus that imposes restriction rather than expansion. This ambiguous hybrid navigates a dystopian image, its movements intertwined with live ambient sound, creating a tense, immersive atmosphere. The performer becomes a presence in flux, neither human nor machine, evoking a liminal state that invites the audience into a shared destabilization.
Scene 2: Removal and Transformation
In the second scene, the performer removes the exoviscus, exposing the bare body. Physical impacts, self-inflicted are transformed into sound in real time, triggering generative music through live touchpad interaction by a second performer. The body becomes both source and instrument, collapsing the boundary between action and reaction, between what is observed and what is felt.
Final Moment: Merging and Departure
In the final moment, the two bodies slowly merge - leaning, dissolving, repeating gestures of dependence and collapse. In the end, one performer lifts the other onto his body and carries him, crawling through the crowd and disappearing into the distance, blurring the line between performer and witness and concluding the piece.
